Our experts meticulously analyze your property to identify environmental conditions, structural deficiencies, and sanitation issues that may be inviting pests inside. OTTAWA'S CHOICE FOR RESIDENTIAL PEST MANAGEMENT

Detached Homes

At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we understand that your detached home is your biggest investment, and your sanctuary. Detached properties face unique challenges, with more surface area, ground-level entry points, and yard exposure than other housing types. That is why we don’t just treat symptoms, we deliver a precise, holistic solutions to protect your property from the ground up.

The PrecisionPro Standard: Inspect. Detect. Protect

We believe effective pest control begins with a deep understanding of your home. Unlike basic services that simply apply products and leave, every single service we perform includes a rigorous, multi-point investigation.

Thorough Interior & Exterior Inspection

Our technicians are trained to think like pests. We conduct a complete walkthrough of your property to identify the root causes of potential infestations.

  • Pest Pressures: We identify current activity, "hot spots," and vulnerable areas where pests are likely to congregate or breed.
  • Structural Deficiencies: We meticulously check the building envelope for cracks, gaps in siding, unsealed vents, and compromised weather stripping that serve as entry highways for rodents and insects.
  • Sanitation Deficiencies: We identify contributing factors such as moisture buildup, food residue, or clutter that may be silently attracting pests to your home.
  • Environmental Factors: We evaluate the immediate surroundings of your home, checking for overgrown vegetation, standing water, or landscape grading issues that create conducive conditions for pests to thrive.

Your Full Inspection Report

Transparency is key to our partnership. Following our visit, you will receive a detailed Inspection Report.

This document outlines every finding from our interior and exterior evaluation. It serves as your roadmap to a pest-free home, providing:

  • Clear documentation of all identified pest activity.
  • Actionable Recommendations: Specific steps you can take (or we can help you with) to permanently seal pests out and reduce attractants.

The PrecisionPro Promise

Your home deserves more than a quick fix. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we don’t just treat the problem, we solve it at the source. Trust our detailed inspections, transparent reporting, and expert recommendations to provide the long-term protection your property needs. Experience the difference of true precision and enjoy a home that stays pest-free.

Townhomes & Semi-Detached Homes

Living in a townhome or semi-detached property offers a great sense of community, but it also presents unique pest control challenges. When you share walls, roofs, or foundations with neighbours, you risk inheriting their pest pressures. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we specialize in "defensive pest control", creating a fortress around your unit to ensure that shared walls don’t mean shared pests.

The Shared-Wall Strategy: Defense is Key

Because you cannot control what happens next door, our approach focuses on isolation and exclusion. Every service includes a rigorous interior and exterior inspection designed to sever the pathways pests use to travel between units.

Targeted Interior & Exterior Inspection

We go beyond standard checks to identify vulnerabilities specific to attached living:

  • Party Wall Isolation (Structural Deficiencies): We inspect shared walls, attics, and pipe chases for gaps. Pests often travel along utility lines (plumbing and electrical) from one unit to another, we identify these breach points so they can be sealed.
  • Migration Risk (Pest Pressures): We analyze signs of pest activity near shared boundaries to determine if pests are originating from your property or migrating from an adjacent unit.
  • Perimeter Fortification (Environmental Factors): In high-density housing, exterior defense is critical. We evaluate your immediate perimeter, shared fences, and decks to create a buffer zone that repels pests before they enter.
  • Sanitation Deficiencies: We identify attractants within your specific footprint that might entice pests wandering from neighbouring properties to settle in your home.

Your Full Inspection Report

Knowledge is your best defense. After our service, you receive a comprehensive Inspection Report detailed with:

  • Documentation of all entry points, specifically focusing on shared structural elements.
  • Defensive Recommendations: A clear plan of action to seal your unit off from neighbours and safeguard your property against external threats.

Your Home, Your Sanctuary

Close proximity shouldn't compromise your comfort. PrecisionPro Pest Solutions delivers the specialized focus required to turn your unit into a pest-free fortress. Through our defensive inspection protocols and strategic recommendations, we ensure that your walls are a true barrier, not a bridge. Enjoy the community lifestyle with the private, protected peace of mind you deserve.

Condominiums & Apartments

Living in a high-rise or multi-unit building means you are part of a complex ecosystem. In condos and apartments, pests can travel vertically through wall voids, trash chutes, and plumbing lines, making your unit susceptible even if you keep it spotless. PrecisionPro Pest Solutions delivers a targeted, discreet, and highly technical service designed to protect your individual unit from the building’s collective pressures.

The High-Rise Approach: Isolate & Control

In a condo or apartment, you are responsible for the interior of your unit, but the threat often comes from common areas or surrounding floors. Our service focuses on interior fortification, identifying and sealing the hidden highways pests use to enter your space.

Specialized Unit Inspection

Because exterior control is often managed by the building corporation, our inspection focuses intensively on the "interior envelope" of your unit:

  • Utility & Plumbing Penetrations (Structural Deficiencies): We meticulously check under sinks, behind appliances, and around heating/cooling units. These are the most common entry points for cockroaches, Pharoah Ants and silverfish traveling between floors.
  • Pest Pressures & Migration: We assess your unit for signs of "hitchhiker" pests (like bed bugs) and localized infestations, distinguishing between pests that are breeding inside versus those invading from the building structure.
  • Sanitation Deficiencies: In smaller spaces, minor issues can escalate quickly. We identify moisture issues (like slow leaks) and clutter that provide harbourage for pests in tight quarters.
  • Environmental Factors (Balconies & Terraces): If you have outdoor access, we check for bird activity, spiders, and drainage issues on your balcony that could lead to interior problems.

Your Full Inspection Report

Following our visit, you will receive a detailed Inspection Report that empowers you to protect your investment. It includes:

  • Findings on interior entry points and sealable gaps.
  • Identification of pest activity specific to your unit versus building-wide issues.
  • Actionable Recommendations: Specific steps you can take to "pest-proof" your unit from the inside out, including advice on reporting building-level issues to property management if necessary.

The PrecisionPro Advantage

Don't let the building's problems cross your threshold. PrecisionPro Pest Solutions provides the expert eye needed to secure your condo or apartment against vertical migration. We give you the power to control your environment, ensuring your unit remains a safe, clean, and private retreat in the city.

Cottages & Seasonal Properties

Your cottage is your escape from the daily grind, a place to relax, not to work. However, seasonal properties that sit vacant for weeks or months are prime targets for pests. Whether it’s mice moving in for the winter, carpenter ants compromising your deck, or spiders overtaking your boat house, nature is always trying to reclaim your retreat. PrecisionPro Pest Solutions provides the vigilance your property needs when you aren't there, ensuring your arrival is always a happy one.

The Seasonal Strategy: Winterization & Waterfront Defense

Cottages face aggressive pest pressures due to their proximity to nature and lack of daily human activity. If your property is on the water, you face the additional challenge of intense spider populations thriving in the humid environment. Our service is designed to "harden" the target, making your property impenetrable to the wildlife surrounding it.

Thorough Interior & Exterior Inspection

We perform a rustic-focused inspection that targets the unique vulnerabilities of vacation homes and waterfront lots:

  • Pest Pressures: We actively hunt for signs of overwintering pests (like cluster flies and rodents) and wood-destroying organisms. Crucially, we assess spider activity levels, identifying heavy webbing on eaves, boat houses, and decks common to lakeside properties.
  • Structural Deficiencies: We inspect crawl spaces, foundations, rooflines, and chimney gaps. We look for chew marks or rot where squirrels, raccoons, or mice might force their way in during quiet periods.
  • Sanitation Deficiencies: We identify internal attractants that could invite trouble during long absences, such as unsealed dry goods or accessible nesting materials.
  • Environmental Factors: This is critical for cottages. We assess the "wildlife interface", checking for tree limbs touching the roof (pest bridges) and firewood stacked too close to the structure. We specifically evaluate lighting and moisture around the water, which attracts the flying insects that spiders feed on.

Your Full Inspection Report

Because you cannot monitor your cottage daily, our report acts as your eyes and ears on the ground.

  • Documentation of any intrusion attempts or wildlife activity.
  • Spider Management Plan: Specific findings regarding web accumulation on siding, windows, and outdoor living spaces.
  • Actionable Recommendations: Specific guidance on "closing up" procedures, vegetation management, and exterior lighting adjustments to reduce spider attraction.

Your Retreat, Reclaimed

Don’t spend your first weekend at the lake cleaning up webs or chasing mice. PrecisionPro Pest Solutions offers the robust, rural-specific protection your seasonal property demands. We stand guard while you are away, preserving the integrity of your cottage so it remains exactly what it was meant to be, your sanctuary.

Rodents in your home are more than just a nuisance, they are a threat to your property and your health. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we understand that catching a mouse or rat is only half the battle. To truly solve the infestation, you have to eliminate the main issue, how they are getting inside. We provide comprehensive residential rodent control designed to identify entry points, remove the current population, and prevent future invasions.

Signs You May Have a Rodent Issue

Rodents are experts at staying hidden, but they leave distinct clues behind. If you notice any of the following, it is time to call PrecisionPro Pest Solutions:

  • Droppings: Often found in cupboards, drawers, or behind appliances. Be sure to check mechanical rooms, garages, and attics, as these are common nesting sites.
  • Rub Marks: Dark, greasy smudges along baseboards or walls created by the oil in their fur as they travel familiar routes.
  • Property Damage: Gnaw marks on furniture, wires, or insulation, and visible damage to food packaging in pantries.
  • Visual Sightings: Physically seeing a live or dead rodent is usually an indicator of a larger, established population.

The PrecisionPro Inspection Process

Every service begins with a rigorous investigation. We don't guess, we locate. Our technicians perform a thorough inspection of both interior and exterior areas to confirm:

  • Entry Points: Where they are breaching your home's envelope.
  • Travel Routes: How they are moving through your walls and rooms.
  • Nesting Areas: Where they are living and breeding.
  • Attractants: Accessible food and water sources sustaining the population.

The Report: Following the inspection, you receive a detailed service report. This document outlines all areas of concern, our findings, and the specific remedies we recommend to secure your home.

Our Control Programs

We offer tailored control strategies based on the severity of the infestation and the specific layout of your home.

1. Exterior Baiting

  • The First Line of Defense: We establish a perimeter barrier to stop rodents before they ever make it inside. This is essential for homes in wooded areas or neighborhoods with high rodent pressure.

2. Interior Baiting

  • Targeted Elimination: We place tamper-resistant stations strategically in "hot spots", areas of high activity identified during our inspection (such as attics, basements, and garages).

3. Physical Trapping

  • Immediate Removal: When baiting is not an option, or when population levels are critically high, we utilize mechanical trapping to physically remove rodents from your living spaces.

Exclusion & Prevention: The "Pro" Difference

Many pest control companies simply set traps and leave. At PrecisionPro, we focus on the cure.

  • Sealing Minor Entry Points: All our rodent control services include the sealing of minor entry points. We block the small gaps around pipes, vents, and foundations to cut off access immediately.
  • Structural Repairs: For larger vulnerabilities that require construction-level work, we provide an on-site quote for the necessary structural repairs.
  • 30-Day Follow-Up: We stand by our work. All services include a follow-up visit 30 days after the initial treatment to inspect stations, check traps, and ensure the program is working as expected.

Rodent Control Solutions (Mice & Rats)

At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we understand that a bed bug infestation is more than just a pest problem, it’s a disruption to your peace of mind. Our scientifically-backed, multi-step process is designed to eliminate bed bugs at every life stage, ensuring your home returns to a safe, comfortable environment.

Recognizing the Signs of Infestation

Bed bugs are elusive, nocturnal, and experts at hiding. Early detection is key to a swift resolution. Look for these primary indicators:

  • Live Bed Bugs: Small, flat, reddish-brown insects (roughly the size of an apple seed).
  • Skin Castings: Translucent hollow shells left behind as bed bugs grow and molt.
  • Fecal Matter: Small, dark spots (digested blood) that often look like ink dots or smears on sheets, pillowcases, and mattresses.

Where They Hide

Bed bugs stay close to their "host" (you) and wedge themselves into tight cracks and crevices. Common hotspots include:

  • Bedding: Mattresses, box springs, and headboards.
  • Furniture: Bedside tables, living room couches, and upholstered seating.
  • Structure: Baseboards around sleeping areas, electrical outlets, and behind picture frames.

The PrecisionPro Treatment Process

A successful treatment is a partnership. Because proper preparation is vital, PrecisionPro provides every client with a detailed, step-by-step preparation guide to ensure the environment is ready for maximum efficacy.

1. Immediate Population Knockdown

We begin by vacuuming all cracks and crevices in sleeping and sitting areas. This physically removes live bugs, eggs, and skin castings, providing an immediate reduction in the infestation size.

2. Thermal Sterilization & Specialized Steam.

We utilize high-heat steam on all touch surfaces. This non-toxic application penetrates deep into fabric and wood to kill eggs and nymphs on contact. Furthermore, high-heat steam is applied to sensitive areas that cannot be treated with traditional liquid products, ensuring no hiding spot is left untouched.

3. Biological Barrier Technology

We apply a cutting-edge biological agent consisting of natural fungal spores to non-touch areas (box springs, furniture interiors, electrical outlets, and baseboards).

4. Total Protection

Every treatment includes high-quality box spring covers for every bed in the home, sealing off one of the most difficult-to-treat areas permanently.

Our Guarantee & Follow-Up

Bed bug eggs can be resilient, which is why we never settle for a "one-and-done" approach.

  • 30-Day Follow-Up: We return to perform a secondary service, re-vacuuming hot spots, re-steaming, and reapplying the biological agent.
  • Warranty: All bed bug services are fully guaranteed. We stand behind our work so you can sleep soundly again.

Mosquitoes are more than just annoying, they can ruin your ability to enjoy the outdoors. Mosquito activity is heavily dependent on environmental factors, specifically precipitation, humidity, and temperature. These elements determine how quickly and successfully populations breed.

At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we monitor these conditions closely to provide treatments that are effective, timely, and safe.

Treatment Programs

We offer flexible options to suit your specific needs, whether you want a full summer of protection or coverage for a single important day.

1. Seasonal Treatment Program (May – September)

Our most popular option for season-long peace of mind.

  • 5 Scheduled Treatments: We visit your property five times throughout the warmer months, beginning with an initial treatment in May to target early populations.
  • Emergency Coverage: This program includes two additional emergency treatments at no extra cost, ensuring you are covered if weather spikes cause an unexpected surge in mosquito activity.
  • Weather-Dependent Scheduling: Applications are carefully scheduled around temperature, wind speeds, and humidity levels to ensure maximum effectiveness and safety.

2. Special Event Services

Hosting an outdoor wedding, graduation party, or family BBQ?

  • One-Time Service: We provide single-service treatments designed to knock down mosquito populations specifically for your event, allowing your guests to celebrate without the bite.

Treatment Options

We offer two distinct approaches to mosquito control, allowing you to choose the product that fits your lifestyle and property.

Chemical Treatment (Population Reduction)

  • How it works: We apply a targeted treatment to all foliage areas, under decks, and shaded spaces where mosquitoes rest during the day.
  • The Goal: This method quickly and drastically reduces the adult mosquito population size on your property.

Non-Chemical Treatment (Repellant)

  • How it works: We utilize natural garlic-based sprays applied to foliage areas surrounding the property.
  • The Goal: This acts as a powerful repellant, creating a barrier that discourages mosquitoes from entering your yard without the use of synthetic chemicals.

Reducing Breeding Grounds: What You Can Do

Mosquitoes require standing water with minimal to no current to lay their eggs. By managing water sources on your property, you can significantly boost the effectiveness of our treatments.

Things to consider:

  • Eliminate Stagnant Water: Remove items that collect rainwater, such as old tires, buckets, and unused lawn equipment.
  • Check Drainage: Ensure proper drainage in ditches and culverts so water flows rather than sits.
  • Agitate Ponds: Add aerators or fountains to garden ponds; mosquitoes cannot breed in moving water.
  • Maintenance: Keep swimming pools treated and bird baths refreshed regularly.

Ready to Enjoy Your Deck Again?

Don't let the weather dictate your summer plans. Contact PrecisionPro Pest Solutions to schedule your initial May treatment or book a spray for your next event.

Discovering cockroaches in your home is stressful, but you don’t have to fight them alone. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we specialize in the elimination of the German Cockroach, the most common and persistent species found in the Ottawa region. We move beyond generic spraying. We use a science-based approach to identify clusters, break the breeding cycle, and prevent future infestations.

Know Your Enemy: The German Cockroach

A common misconception is that cockroaches enter from the outdoors like ants or spiders. German Cockroaches are strictly indoor pests. They do not migrate from the outside, they are "hitchhikers" introduced into your home through contaminated items.

Common sources of introduction include:

  • Deliveries and cardboard boxes.
  • Used furniture or appliances.
  • Visitors who may have cockroach issues at their own home or workplace.

Did you know? German cockroaches do not build a central nest. Instead, they live in "clusters" tucked away in tight cracks, crevices, and warm, dark areas of your home.

Signs of Activity: What to Look For

Cockroaches are nocturnal and masters of hiding. Activity usually begins in the kitchen and food areas (cabinets, behind appliances) and often spreads to washrooms via pipe chases.

Watch for these red flags:

  • Visible Sightings: Seeing roaches scatter when you turn on the lights, especially during darker hours.
  • "Pepper" Spots: Droppings that look like ground pepper or coffee grounds. Look for these around cabinet hinges, door frames, and corners.
  • Egg Casings: Small, capsule-like casings left behind after hatching.
  • Dark & Tight Spaces: Activity is most common in secluded areas, such as the motor housing of fridges or cracks in cabinetry.

Our Process: The PrecisionPro Approach

We don’t guess, we inspect. Every service begins with a thorough inspection to determine activity levels, locate clusters, and identify structural deficiencies that are supporting the population.

Based on our findings, we will recommend one of two targeted treatment paths.

Option 1: The Full Treatment (High Activity)

Best for established infestations requiring immediate impact.

  1. Crack & Crevice Treatment: We treat all hiding spots, including kitchen and washroom cabinets, behind appliances, and baseboards.
  2. Flushing & Vacuuming: We flush voids in walls and kitchen appliances to force cockroaches out of hiding. We then physically remove them using vacuums.
  3. The Result: This provides a quick population knockdown and immediately breaks the breeding cycle.
  4. Follow-Up: This service is always followed up 2-4 weeks later with our baiting service to eliminate any remaining stragglers.

Option 2: Bait Treatment (Early Detection).

Best for low populations caught in the early stages.

  1. Targeted Application: We apply professional-grade gel bait to "hot spots," including cabinet hinges, pipe chases, appliances, and cracks.
  2. The Result: The bait cascades through the cluster, eliminating the population efficiently.
  3. Follow-Up: A visit is completed 30 days after the initial treatment to ensure the program's effectiveness and re-apply bait if needed.

Preparation & Aftercare

Success is a partnership. Before we arrive, we will provide you with specific preparation instructions based on the treatment option selected.

Post-Treatment: We provide detailed instructions to ensure the treatment remains successful. Furthermore, we stand by our work with service warranties on all cockroach control services.

Constant Vigilance: Our Monitoring System

After the initial treatment for either option, we place extensive monitoring traps in all areas of concern. These monitors act as our eyes between services. They provide our technicians with crucial data, including:

  • The life stages of cockroaches present (nymphs vs. adults).
  • The exact location of remaining clusters.
  • The direction of travel.

This data allows us to adjust our strategy in real-time to ensure your home remains cockroach-free.

Why Choose PrecisionPro?

German Cockroaches are resilient, but our solutions are stronger. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we understand that a cockroach infestation is more than just a nuisance, it’s a disruption to your peace of mind. We don't just treat the symptoms, we attack the root cause. By combining thorough inspections, physical removal, targeted baiting, and continuous monitoring, we ensure the infestation is eliminated and does not return. With our clear preparation guides, detailed post-treatment plans, and service warranties, you can trust that your home is in expert hands.

Carpenter ants are more than just a nuisance, they are structural opportunists. Unlike termites, they don't eat wood, but they excavate it to create galleries for their colonies. If left unchecked, this can lead to significant damage over time.

Our professional treatment plans are designed to find the source, eliminate the queen, and protect your property from the inside out.

Is Your Property Under Attack?

Recognizing the early warning signs of an indoor infestation can save you from costly repairs. Keep an eye (and ear) out for:

  • Visible Foraging: Seeing large black or reddish ants inside, especially near moisture-prone areas.
  • "Frass" (Sawdust): Unlike termites, carpenter ants leave behind small piles of wood shavings, often mixed with insect parts, near nesting sites.
  • Acoustic Signs: In quiet moments, you may hear a faint crackling or rustling noise coming from behind your walls.

Our Professional Elimination Process

A "quick spray" isn't enough for carpenter ants. To protect your investment, we follow a rigorous, science-based protocol to ensure the colony is gone for good.

1. Thorough Diagnostic Inspection

Everything starts with an expert eye. We determine if you have an active interior nest or if "scout" ants are simply foraging from a nest located outside your home. This distinction is vital for choosing the right treatment strategy.

2. Precision Identification & Residual Treatment

Once we locate the nesting site, we apply professional-grade residual treatments to the specific cracks and crevices where ants travel. This creates a lasting barrier that impacts the colony every time an ant moves.

3. Deep-Void Eradication (Eliminating the Queen)

To fully eliminate the threat, we must reach the heart of the colony. We use specialized equipment to apply treatments into wall voids.

  • Minimal Impact: To reach these hidden areas, we may drill small, discrete holes into window sills, door frames, or wall sections.
  • The Goal: This ensures the treatment reaches the queen. If the queen is not eliminated, the colony will simply rebuild.

4. Professional Restoration & Sealant

We respect your property. Once the treatment is applied, we meticulously seal any access holes we created, leaving your walls and frames looking exactly as they did when we arrived.

Follow-Up: Our Commitment to Success

Eliminating a carpenter ant colony is a process, not a one-time event. We prioritize follow-up visits to monitor activity and confirm that the queen has been destroyed. If the queen survives, the colony will eventually rebound, we make sure that doesn't happen.

Summer in Ottawa often brings the unwanted buzzing of wasps and hornets. While they are a natural part of our ecosystem, they can pose a significant safety risk when they establish nests near your home. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we have the specialized protective gear and professional tools to treat and remove nests safely, keeping your family out of harm's way.

Identification: Know What You Are Dealing With

Not all stinging insects behave the same way. Identifying the species is the first step to safe removal.

Yellow Jackets

These are among the most aggressive and common wasps in our region.

  • Behavior: Highly defensive of their territory.
  • Nesting Habits: They are notorious for building nests in voids where you can’t see them, such as inside soffits, behind brick weeping holes, or underground in old rodent burrows. Occasionally, they will build visible hanging nests.
  • The Risk: Because they nest deep inside voids, over-the-counter sprays are rarely sufficient to reach the queen. Amateur attempts to block their entrance often backfire, forcing the wasps to chew through drywall and enter the interior of your home.
                 Bald-Faced Hornets

Actually a type of yellow jacket, these are

large, black-and-white stinging insects.

  • Nesting Habits: They build large, gray, paper-like football-shaped nests. These are typically found hanging high in trees or directly under the soffits of your home.
  • The Risk: They are extremely aggressive and will attack in large numbers if they feel their nest is threatened.
                         Paper Wasps
  • Nesting Habits: These build smaller, umbrella-shaped nests where the "comb" is exposed. You will often see them tucked under soffits, deck railings, or door frames.
  • The Risk: While generally less aggressive than Yellow Jackets, they will sting if they feel cornered or if you get too close to the nest.

Mud Daubers

  • Nesting Habits: These are solitary wasps that build small, cylindrical mud tubes, often found on brick walls under soffits.
  • The Risk: They are generally docile and rarely sting, but their nests can be unsightly.

A Note on Honey Bees

At PrecisionPro, we respect our pollinators. Honey Bees are a protected species and are generally very docile. We do not exterminate honey bees. If you have a swarm or a hive on your property, proper removal and relocation is required by a registered beekeeper. We can help identify if you are dealing with bees or wasps, but we will refer you to a professional apiarist for honey bee issues.

Why Professional Treatment is Necessary

Attempting to remove a wasp nest yourself can be dangerous. Many species become aggressive instantly if they sense a threat, leading to multiple stings.

Our Service Includes:

  • Safety First: We utilize full protective suits and industrial-grade equipment to manage the nest without risk to you or your neighbors.
  • Deep Penetration: For nests hidden in voids (like Yellow Jackets), we use specialized equipment to inject treatment deep into the cavity, ensuring the queen and the colony are eliminated.
  • Removal: For visible nests (like Bald-Faced Hornets), we treat and physically remove the nest whenever accessible.

Our Guarantee

Your peace of mind is our priority. All Wasp and Hornet treatments come with a 90-Day Warranty.

Large, established nests can be resilient, and occasionally a colony requires more than one treatment to fully eliminate. If activity persists, we return at no extra cost to ensure the job is done right.

At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we believe in a balanced approach. We understand that spiders are a beneficial insect, playing a vital role in our ecosystem by consuming other nuisance pests such as flies, mosquitoes, moths, ants, and earwigs.  However, when they move from the garden to your living space, or when their webs takeover your home's exterior, they become a pest. Our Spider Reduction Service is designed to manage the population effectively, keeping the benefits of spiders in your garden while keeping them off your house.

Timing Matters: When to Treat

Effective spider control requires precision timing. Spiders must be active and present for our products to work effectively. In our region, treating too early in the spring, before temperatures rise and spiders emerge from dormancy, will negatively affect the success of the treatment. If the product is applied before the spiders are active, it degrades before it has a chance to impact the population. We schedule our services during peak activity windows to ensure you get the best possible results.

Service Packages

We offer flexible options to suit your specific needs and the level of spider activity around your property.

1. Single Service

A one-time, comprehensive treatment designed to knock down the current population and provide residual protection for the season. This is ideal for homes with moderate activity or specific problem areas.

2. Seasonal Package (Spring & Fall)

For homes with high spider pressure or those located near water or wooded areas, we recommend our Seasonal Package.

  • Spring Treatment: Applied once temperatures are consistently warm and spiders are active, stopping the population boom before summer.
  • Fall Treatment: Applied as temperatures cool, preventing spiders from migrating indoors to overwinter in your home.

Our Treatment Process:

The Barrier Treatment (Standard)

Our primary defense is a liquid residual treatment applied to the exterior of your home. We target the structural elements where spiders hide and hunt.

  • Exterior Lighting: We treat around light fixtures, as these attract flying insects (the spider's food source).
  • Foundation Lines & Entry Points: Creating a barrier around doors, windows, and the base of the home to stop crawling pests.
  • Soffits & Peaks: Treating high points of the roofline where webs often accumulate.
  • Decks & Patios: Treating the undersides where spiders prefer to hide during the day.

Web Sweeping (Add-On Service)

For an immediate aesthetic improvement, we offer Web Sweeping as an optional add-on service.

  • What it is: We use specialized extension brushes to physically sweep down and remove unsightly spider webs and egg sacs from soffits, eaves, window frames, and garage doors.
  • Why add it? This instantly improves your home's curb appeal and removes egg sacs before the next generation can hatch.

At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we respect the role spiders play in the Ottawa ecosystem. They are nature’s pest control, helping to reduce populations of flies and mosquitoes. However, we also believe your home should be a place of comfort, not a collection of cobwebs. Our approach is designed to strike the perfect balance. By timing our treatments to match spider biology, avoiding ineffective early spring applications, and offering flexible Single or Seasonal Packages, we ensure you get the most effective results possible. We don't promise the impossible, instead, we deliver a science-based reduction strategy that keeps your home cleaner, your siding web-free, and your entryways welcoming.

If you have ever returned home to find large, sluggish flies buzzing lazily around your windows, especially in the spring or fall, you are likely dealing with Cluster Flies. Unlike the common House Fly, these pests are not interested in your garbage or food. They are looking for one thing, a warm place to sleep for the winter. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we offer specialized timing-based treatments to stop these invaders before they settle into your walls.

Know the Difference: Cluster Fly vs. House Fly

Misidentification is common. Knowing what you are looking at is the first step to control.

Cluster Flies

  • Appearance: Slightly larger and darker than a house fly. If you look closely, they have golden hairs on their thorax (behind the head).
  • Wings: When at rest, their wings overlap completely (like a pair of scissors), making them look narrow.
  • Behavior: They are famously "lazy" and sluggish. They tend to gather in large groups (clusters) on sunny windows and are easy to catch or vacuum up.
  • Source: They hatch outdoors in the soil (they are parasites of earthworms) and migrate indoors to hibernate.

House Flies

  • Appearance: Grey with four distinct black stripes on the thorax.
  • Wings: When at rest, their wings are held apart in a triangular shape.
  • Behavior: Fast, erratic fliers that are difficult to swat.
  • Source: They breed in filth, garbage, and decaying organic matter.

The Seasonal Cycle: Why Are They Here?

Understanding the Cluster Fly calendar is critical for effective control.

  • The Fall Invasion (Late August - October): This is when the problem starts. Adult flies congregate on the sun-exposed sides of your home (usually South and West facing walls) to warm themselves before crawling into cracks, soffits, and vents to overwinter in your wall voids.
  • The Spring Awakening (March - May): This is when most homeowners notice them. As the sun warms your home, the flies hibernating in your walls "wake up." They emerge into your living space and fly toward the light (windows), trying to get back outside.

Service Options

We offer flexible solutions designed to match the severity of the infestation and the time of year.

1. Single Service Treatment

Best for immediate relief of a specific seasonal flare-up.

  • Scope: A one-time targeted treatment to address current activity levels.
  • Application: Depending on the season, this may involve an exterior barrier spray (to stop entry) or an interior crack-and-crevice treatment (to knockdown active flies).
  • Note: While effective for the current season, a single service does not prevent future migrations.

2. Seasonal Package (Spring & Fall)

The comprehensive solution to break the cycle. This package includes two scheduled visits to protect your home during both critical migration windows. Treatments include both interior and exterior applications as required by the fly's behavior.

Spring Visit (The Exit)

  • Goal: Manage the population emerging from hibernation.
  • Action: We treat interior window frames, baseboards, and voids where flies are entering living spaces. If weather permits, a residual treatment is applied to sunny exterior walls where emerging flies congregate.

Fall Visit (The Entry)

  • Goal: Prevent new flies from entering the home for winter.
  • Action: A residual barrier is applied to the exterior high points of the home, soffits, eaves, peaks, and window frames, stopping the infestation before it starts.

Quick Tips for Homeowners

  • Don't Squash Them: Cluster flies can leave a greasy yellow stain when squashed, which is difficult to remove from curtains or walls.
  • Use the Vacuum: The best way to remove live flies from a window is to suck them up with a vacuum cleaner hose. Empty the canister immediately into an outside bin.
  • Seal the Gaps: Caulking cracks around exterior window frames and repairing torn screens can help reduce the number of flies entering.

Cluster flies are more than just a nuisance, they are a recurring headache that returns year after year if left untreated. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we understand the biology behind the infestation. We don't just treat the flies you see today, we target the source of the problem. By combining precise timing with professional-grade treatments, our Seasonal Packages provide the comprehensive protection your home needs to break the cycle of migration. Whether you need immediate relief or long-term prevention, we have the expertise to keep your windows clear and your home fly-free.

If you see swarms of black bugs with distinct red markings gathering on the sunny side of your home or clustering on your windows, you are dealing with Box Elder Bugs. While they are not known to bite or cause structural damage, their sheer numbers can be overwhelming. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we provide targeted treatments to keep these nuisance pests off your siding and out of your home.

Identification: Is This a Box Elder Bug?

These pests are distinct and easy to identify once you know what to look for.

  • Appearance: They are oval-shaped, black bugs with reddish-orange lines on their backs.
  • Size: Approximately 1/2 inch long.
  • Behavior: They are sun-seekers. You will often find them congregating in large masses on the South and West facing walls of your home, soaking up the heat.
  • The Source: As their name suggests, they feed on Box Elder trees, as well as Maple and Ash trees. If you or your neighbour have these trees on the property, your home is a prime target.

The Seasonal Cycle

Like Cluster Flies and Ladybugs, Box Elder Bugs are "overwintering pests." Their behavior changes with the seasons, which dictates how we treat them.

Spring & Summer

During the warmer months, they are active outdoors, feeding on trees and reproducing. You may see them on your siding, decks, or in the garden.

Fall (The Invasion)

As temperatures drop in late summer and early autumn, adult bugs leave the trees and seek a warm place to survive the winter. They gather on the sun-exposed exterior of your home before crawling into cracks, crevices, and wall voids to hibernate.

Service Options

Effective control requires hitting them at the right time. We offer flexible solutions to match the severity of the infestation.

1. Single Service Treatment

Best for immediate knockdown of visible swarms.

  • Scope: A one-time comprehensive treatment to address current activity.
  • Application: We apply a residual barrier to the exterior of the home, focusing on the sunny sides where bugs are congregating. If activity is found indoors, we treat cracks and crevices of window frames and baseboards to eliminate stragglers.

2. Seasonal Package (Spring & Fall)

The comprehensive solution to break the cycle. This package includes two scheduled visits to protect your home during both critical migration windows.

Spring Visit

  • Goal: Target the bugs as they emerge from hibernation and attempt to return to the trees to breed. This reduces the population for the summer.

         Fall Visit (Crucial for Prevention)

  • Goal: Prevent the new generation from entering your home for the winter.
  • Action:  A residual barrier is applied to the exterior high points, soffits, eaves, peaks, and window frames, stopping the infestation before they get inside your walls.

Why Professional Treatment Matters

While Box Elder Bugs are mostly a nuisance, they can cause issues if left unchecked:

  • Staining: If crushed or vacuumed up without care, their body fluids can leave permanent red/orange stains on curtains, walls, and upholstery.
  • Sheer Numbers: A single female can lay hundreds of eggs, turning a small cluster into a massive swarm very quickly.

At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we stop the swarm before it starts. By treating the exterior of your home during critical migration windows, we keep these pests on the trees where they belong, not on your siding or in your living room.

If you are seeing tiny, yellow or honey-colored ants trailing across your counter, near your kettle, or even in your bathroom, you likely have Pharaoh Ants. These are not your average garden ants. They are a complex, difficult-to-control species that requires a very specific approach. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we specialize in the delicate science of Pharaoh Ant elimination.

⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: DO NOT SPRAY ⚠️

Put down the can of bug spray.

The single biggest mistake homeowners make with Pharaoh Ants is attempting to spray them with over-the-counter contact killers (like Raid) or harsh cleaners.

Why? Pharaoh Ants possess a unique survival mechanism called "Budding."

  • The Reaction: When a colony senses stress (like a chemical spray killing their foragers), they do not die off. Instead, the queens panic and split the colony into multiple smaller groups.
  • The Result: One colony becomes five. Five become ten. By spraying, you will likely spread the infestation from the kitchen into the bedrooms, living room, and walls.

If you suspect Pharaoh Ants, stop all DIY treatments immediately and call a professional.

Identification: What Do They Look Like?

  •  Size: Extremely small (approx. 1.5 - 2 mm).
  • Color: Pale yellow to light reddish-brown with a darker abdomen (rear end).
  • Nesting: They do not build mounds. They nest in warm, humid, inaccessible areas such as wall voids, behind baseboards, inside electrical outlets, and even inside curtain rods or folded linens.
  • Food: They love sweets, oils, and proteins. You will often find them trailing toward pet food, grease spots, or open honey/jam jars.

Our Strategy: The Baiting Method

Because Pharaoh Ants have multiple queens (sometimes hundreds) hidden deep in the walls, you cannot kill the colony by killing the ants you see. You must trick them into killing the queens for you.

PrecisionPro Pest Solutions utilizes a comprehensive Baiting Program:

  1. The Inspection: We identify the trails and satellite nest locations.
  2. Specialized Baits: We apply professional-grade gel and granular baits. These baits are formulated to be highly attractive to the ants but slow-acting.
  3. The "Trojan Horse": The worker ants eat the bait and carry it back to the nest to feed the larvae and the queens.
  4. Colony Collapse: Over the course of a few weeks, the bait circulates through the entire colony, sterilizing the queens and eliminating the population from the inside out.

Follow-Up & Warranty

Because of the resilient nature of Pharaoh Ants, a single visit is rarely enough to verify total elimination.

  • Monitoring: We place monitors to track activity levels. Monitors are our eyes between services and provide our technicians crucial information.
  • Follow-Up Visits: Our program includes follow-up visits to replenish bait and ensure the "budding" cycle has been broken.
  • Warranty: We stand behind our baiting program with a service warranty to ensure the colony is gone for good.

Pharaoh Ants are a complex adversary. They don't just invade, they adapt. When threatened, they split and conquer. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we understand the science of the colony. We don't fight them with brute force, we outsmart them. By utilizing advanced baiting strategies instead of panic sprays, we turn their own biology against them, eliminating the queens and collapsing the nest from the inside out.

Ticks are no longer just a problem for hikers deep in the woods. In recent years, tick populations have exploded across the Ottawa region, moving into suburban backyards, parks, and cottage properties. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we provide specialized tick treatments designed to create a safety zone around your property, allowing you to enjoy your yard without worry.

The Health Risk: Lyme Disease in Ottawa

The most critical reason to control ticks is health. The Black-legged Tick (also known as the Deer Tick) is the primary carrier of Lyme Disease, a serious bacterial infection that can cause long-term health issues if left untreated.

It is a confirmed fact: Ticks tested in the Ottawa area carry the bacteria that causes Lyme Disease. Because ticks are incredibly small (often the size of a poppy seed in their nymph stage), they can easily go unnoticed on humans and pets until it is too late. Prevention is your best defense.

Know Your Enemy: How Ticks Hunt

Ticks do not jump or fly. They use a strategy called "questing."

  • The Ambush: They climb to the tips of tall grass, shrubs, and low-hanging branches.
  • The Grab: They extend their front legs and wait for a host (a dog, a child, or you) to brush past.
  • The Attachment: Once aboard, they crawl to a warm, hidden area of the body to attach and feed.

Our Treatment Strategy: The Barrier Defense

We don't just spray the grass, we target the tick's habitat. Ticks prefer moist, shady areas and avoid direct, hot sunlight.

1. The "Transition Zone" Treatment: Ticks typically enter your yard from the edges, where your manicured lawn meets the woods, tall grass, or neighboring brush. We apply a targeted residual barrier to:

  • Perimeter Vegetation: The first 3-5 feet of brush, tall grass, and woods surrounding your property.
  • Shady Areas: Under decks, around sheds, and beneath low-hanging trees.
  • Leaf Litter: Ticks love to hide under damp leaves. We treat these potential nesting grounds thoroughly.

2. The Result: This treatment kills ticks on contact and creates a residual barrier that eliminates new ticks attempting to cross into your yard.

Service Options

We offer flexible protection plans to suit your lifestyle and property needs.

1. Single Treatment

Perfect for special events or immediate knockdown. If you are hosting a backyard wedding, a family reunion, or a BBQ, a single treatment is a great way to ensure your guests are comfortable.

  • Timing: We recommend treating 1-2 weeks before your event.
  • Coverage: Provides immediate reduction of the tick population for approx. 3-4 weeks.

2. Seasonal Program (Recommended)

Continuous protection for peace of mind. Because ticks are active whenever the temperature is above freezing (0°C), a single spray often isn't enough for the whole year. Our seasonal program ensures your barrier remains strong from the first thaw to the first frost.

  • Spring (May - June): Critical for targeting Nymphs (young ticks), which are the size of a poppy seed and responsible for the majority of Lyme Disease transmission.
  • Summer (July - August): Maintains the barrier during peak outdoor activity for your family.
  • Fall (September - November): Targets adult ticks looking for a final blood meal before winter.

Prevention Tips for Homeowners

While our treatments are highly effective, cultural controls help reduce the risk even further:

  • Keep Grass Short: Ticks dry out and die in short, sun-exposed grass.
  • Clear Debris: Remove piles of leaves, brush, and wood where ticks hide.
  • Create a Buffer: A generic wood chip or gravel barrier between your lawn and the woods can discourage migration.

You shouldn't have to do a "tick check" every time your kids play on the swing set or your dog comes in from the yard. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we reduce the risk so you can relax. By targeting the habitat where ticks thrive, we provide a safer environment for the ones you love.

If you are noticing your pets scratching excessively, or finding small, dark insects jumping on your carpets or furniture, you likely have a Flea Infestation. Fleas are not just a nuisance, they are a health risk to both your family and your furry companions. A single female flea can lay up to 50 eggs a day, turning a minor issue into a full-blown infestation in less than a week. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we use a multi-step approach to eliminate fleas at every stage of their life cycle.

The Flea Life Cycle: Why DIY Fails

Most over-the-counter sprays only kill adult fleas. This leaves 95% of the population, the eggs, larvae, and pupae hidden in your carpets, unharmed. A few weeks later, they hatch, and the infestation returns.

We don't just kill the adults, we break the cycle

Our treatment targets all four stages:

  1. Adults: The biting fleas you see.
  2. Eggs: Laid on your pet and fall off into carpets/bedding.
  3. Larvae: Hatch from eggs and hide deep in carpet fibers.
  4. Pupae: The cocoon stage, which is the hardest to kill.

Our Treatment Process

Success requires a partnership between you and our technicians. We combine mechanical removal with advanced chemistry to ensure total elimination.

1. The Pre-Treatment Preparation (Crucial Step).

Before we arrive, you play a vital role. We will provide detailed instructions, but the key steps include:

  • Treat Your Pets: This is mandatory. Your cat or dog is the host. They must be treated with a veterinarian-approved flea product (drops or oral medication) before our service to prevent them from re-introducing fleas to the home.
  • Clear the Floors: Pick up all toys, shoes, and loose items from the floor to allow for thorough treatment.
  • Wash Everything: Wash all pet bedding, throw blankets, and linens in hot water to kill eggs and larvae.
  • 2. Physical Removal (Vacuuming)

Vacuuming is 50% of the battle.

  • Vibrations: The vibration of the vacuum stimulates pupae to hatch, exposing them to our treatment.
  • Removal: It physically removes a large percentage of eggs and larvae from the environment.
  • Disposal: Immediately dispose of the vacuum bag or empty the canister into an outside bin.

3. The Chemical Application

We apply a specialized treatment to all floor surfaces, carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture.

  • Adulticide: Instantly knocks down the active, biting adult population.
  • Insect Growth Regulator (IGR): This is the game-changer. The IGR acts like "birth control" for fleas. It prevents eggs and larvae from developing into adults, effectively breaking the reproductive cycle and preventing future generations.

What to Expect Post-Treatment

You may see some flea activity for up to 2-3 weeks after treatment. This is normal. These are the "pupae" hatching out of their protective cocoons. However, because of the Insect Growth Regulator we applied, these new adults will be sterile and will die shortly after contacting the treated surfaces. Do not stop vacuuming! Continued vacuuming encourages these stragglers to hatch faster, speeding up the elimination process.

Our Warranty

We stand by our work. Because flea pupae can be resilient, occasionally a second treatment is required for heavy infestations. All Flea Control services come with a warranty. If the infestation persists after the expected hatching period, we will return to re-treat at no additional cost.

Battling fleas with store-bought sprays is often a losing battle against biology. At PrecisionPro Pest Solutions, we understand that true elimination requires more than just a quick spray, it requires a strategy. By combining your preparation efforts with our professional-grade Insect Growth Regulators (IGRs) and adulticides, we tackle the infestation from every angle. We don't just kill the fleas you see, we eliminate the future generations hiding in your carpets. With our service warranty backing you up, you can rest easy knowing the itch is over. Reclaim your home and comfort today.
